2) They are an EPA Lead Certified company
3) Reference checks
The 1st one is a no-brainer, make sure that any window company you hire is properly licensed and insured. The 2nd one not many people are familiar with. The EPA Certification is a program all reputable and credible window companies in Chicago should have. This certification means that the company went through a formal training program with the EPA federal agency to be able to recognize and determine that lead may be present in the home, and how to contain it if so. The 3rd one is also something all consumers should do. Request a few references and give them a call and inquire about their experience with the company. Although these few things seem like common sense, many people don’t do their due diligence on the window company they decide to hire, which could potentially lead to pain and heartache in the future if issues arise with your windows.
